Wasif Haseeb is an Indian-Canadian Muslim filmmaker and digital media producer.
Let's drop the 3rd person, I'm not feeling it anymore.
It started with a webcam when I was 10. I shot my first "feature film" (1hr20m) on my parent's new webcam and edited it with Windows Movie Maker.
Fast-forward a few years, and I found myself creating films at the intersection of art and technology—often revolving around tech, money, and identity.
As a director and editor, I specialize in blending practical and visual effects to tell those stories.
My last film, The Refund Department, won Best Local Film at the Mosquers Film Festival. I was part of the technology team that created the interactive multiplayer film "Lab Rat" featured at SXSW. My next short documentary is being developed alongside CBC.
